It is often said that to be a great writer, one must first be a dedicated reader. At Lapatutu, we believe that for a child’s imagination to truly take flight, they need more than just a lesson, they need a story book to call their own.
A book is a quiet invitation to see the world differently, and providing that invitation is where the journey of a lifelong writer begins.
In a proud collaborative partnership with the Education Department of the Entebbe Municipal Council, Lapatutu Writing Creations recently visited Nakiwogo Primary School. Through our Learning With Stories program, we were honored to deliver 375 original storybooks to pupils from P3 to P7.
Nakiwogo is a vibrant fishing community, but its proximity to the landing site presents a unique challenge: the lure of immediate income through child labor. In an environment where some parents might prioritize the day's catch over a classroom desk, the administrators at Nakiwogo Primary are doing exceptional work. They labor daily to sensitize the community to the long-term, life-changing benefits of a consistent education.
For many of these students, a personal storybook is a luxury their families simply cannot afford. Through this outreach, several children held a book of their own for the very first time. We see this not just as a donation, but as a direct investment into the writers of tomorrow.
Learning With Stories is the CSR heartbeat of our agency. While Lapatutu has evolved into a professional firm serving brands and individuals, our foundation was built on children’s stories—tales designed to make learning fun and complex issues accessible.
We remain true to this foundation as our way of giving back. Seeing the focused faces of pupils as they dove into their new books was a reminder of why we do what we do.
When you choose to work with Lapatutu Writing Creations, you aren't just hiring a writing agency; you are becoming a vital part of this nation-building process.
Together, we are ensuring that the next generation of writers has the tools to make their own mark on the world.
