As 2025 drew to a close, the "Learning with Stories" program reached a significant milestone. Our third and final school of the year: Kitende Church of Uganda Primary School.
The energy at Kitende COU Primary School was a perfect reflection of the year’s journey. By this time, the program had moved from a bold experiment to a proven success. As our Founder stood before the students, the mission remained the same: to ignite a passion for reading through stories that feel like home.
Watching the students engage with the 8th edition of our homegrown collection was a powerful moment. The children at Kitende COU Primary School embraced the "Ekigambo" spirit with open arms. They weren't just receiving books; they were becoming part of a growing community of young African readers.
We left Kitende with the hope that these books wouldn't just stay in the classroom, but would travel back to families to be shared across families.
Kitende Church of Uganda Primary School marked the end of our physical outreach for the year 2025, but it was only the beginning of our story. We started the year with a digital blog and ended it having placed hundred of original stories into the hands of children across three different schools.
The journey was just starting.
